The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed concerning the superior number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area every day. The assistance point designed for sassa intervention ordeals a large inflow of potential beneficiaries, which sassa makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all clients and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
